Construction Manager
Job Summary
Oversee and manage the construction activities at site and monitoring of project progress and completion.
Key Accountabilities
Communicating both internally and externally.
Assessing risks and managing a budget.
Identifying project goals and scope.
Planning and documenting project tasks.
Ensuring deliverables are delivered on time.
Managing all project resources.
Effectively communicating with stakeholders.
Eliminating blockers and potential risks.
Leading a project from inception to completion according to a set timeline and budget.
Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected.
Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change.
Ensuring safe working environment.
Qualifications
Overall relevant experience of at least 5 years in IPPs/Utilities/EPCs/Consulting firms related to energy sector.
Minimum of bachelor degree (or equivalent) in engineering, project management, construction management, business or related field required.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing development and/or construction of large-scale PV solar projects.
Hands-on experience in handling all stages of Engineering Design & technical issues related to Solar PV power plants and main equipment.
Knowledge and skills of overall Construction, Commissioning, Project Management, Risk Management & Contract Management of Solar Power Plants.
Demonstrated excellence in effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the necessary skills to interface with local representatives, clients, vendors, contractors and subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
Good understanding of budgets and design for cost solutions.
Proven ability to identify project impacting issues, able to work with more senior members of the Project Management team to develop and implement solutions.
